Cummins to Ford® 5.4 / 6.8 (V8 or V10 Automatic)

Diesel Conversion Specialists® offers an extensive kit for the individual looking to diesel swap a Cummins® into the Ford Super Duty® that originally had the 5.4l or 6.8l gas engine. We offer two adapter plate options that bolt a Cummins® to the gas 4R100 transmission. SKU (2670) allows for the 1989-2002 5.9l Cummins to be used and the SKU (2671) is used when installing the 2003-2009 Cummins 5.9l or 6.7l. These adapter plates utilize the Ford Power Stroke® 6.0l Starter. We also offer the XDP gear reduction starter SKU (2692) used for the 6.4l Power Stroke from 2008-2010 as an upgrade option.

The 4R100 transmission will need to be controlled by an aftermarket transmission controller. We sell a US Shift controller for the 4R100 gas tranmission. The controller comes complete with a new transmission wiring harness, connectors and the ability to customize your transmission shifting and torque converter lockups as desired. If you have the 5R110 gas transmission it is not conversion friendly and will need to be swapped out for the 4R100 if an automatic tranmission is desired.
