The SwapHelper.com Grid Heater Controller brings OEM style grid heater operation to your swap truck or other application. Designed for 1989-2002 Cummins® (can also be used on 12 volt 6BT's, 4BT's, ISB's and Common Rails if desired), the controller uses the factory Cummins/Dodge® IAT sensor and solenoids (not included) to help your engine start in cold weather. Includes a full wiring harness pre-wired for the IAT sensor and solenoids, a "wait to start" dash light so you know when to start your engine, and a full set of instructions.
This controller and related circuitry will operate as a stand-alone engine grid heater controller for all two grid air intake heater systems.
Features:
- Preheat grid heater cycle time is determined by IAT (Intake Air Temperature). Preheat will activate at 59F and lower.
- “Wait to Start” LED indicates engine ready to start.
- “Wait to Start” will range from 10-30 seconds, dependent on IAT.
- Post-heat cycle initiates after engine start to assist cold weather running and reduce exhaust smoke. Post-heat will run up to 3 minutes.
- Restart the Grid Heater cycle by turning ignition off/on.
- Controller is compatible with all Dodge/Cummins IAT sensors from 1989–2002.
