Conversion Kit: 1988-1995 Chevy®/GMC® 4x4 IFS with 4L60 or 4L80 to 1989-1998 Cummins® 12-Valve

Fitment of the Cummins® engine is tight but results in a great conversion because you get to keep your IFS. The space from the firewall to the core support makes it extremely difficult to use the mechanical cooling fan. Anything is possible just be prepared to use your creativity and doing a significant amount of front clip modifications and fabrication.

We used side by side electric fans and even then space was tight. You will have to do some cutting to the engine mount perches to make room for the wider oil pan rail. A body lift is NOT required. To keep the engine and transmission angle correct you’ll need to space the transmission up 1/4 inch. *Uses Ford 6.4L diesel starter.*

- If you do not have the upper water neck that is pointing straight up, you will need to change our part SKU 2624

- If your lower water neck is not pointing down at a 45° angle, you will need to change to our part SKU 3102
