Adapter plate to mate a Toyota® R150 transmission to a 1998-2003 Volkswagen® 1.9L TDI® engine. The adapter plate has dowel pins for proper alignment. A Toyota starter is utilized and placement is changed to the passenger side of the engine. Also included is a crank spacer to ensure proper starter to flywheel engagement. Does not require drilling or balancing of the flywheel.
This kit is intended to be used on R150 manual transmissions that would have been paired with the 3.4l engine 5VZ-FE. The R150 is known to have a short and a long input shaft. This kit is designed for the longer input shaft length relative to the bell housing mounting surface.
