This adapter plate mates the Toyota® R150 transmission to a Volkswagen® 1.9L or 2.0L TDI® engine (see below for engine names).
Includes:
- Steel crankshaft spacer
- Dowel pins
- Starter spacer
- Hardware to bold the adapter plate and crankshaft spacer to the engine
Designed to be used with a Toyota starter and placement is changed to the passenger side of the engine. Does not require drilling or balancing of the flywheel.
When doing a Volkswagen TDI to Toyota R150 project, a starter spacer plate may be needed: "Rear End No. 1" for Toyota R150 Transmissions. We offer this - see DCS SKU 2359.
This adapter plate kit is intended to be used on R150 manual transmissions that would have been paired with the 3.4L engine 5VZ-FE. The R150 is known to have a short and a long input shaft. This kit is designed for the longer input shaft length relative to the bell housing mounting surface.
This adapter plate accepts the following TDI engines codes:
