This bracket adapts the 1992-2003 Ford® 7.3L, 6.0L, or 6.4L diesel alternators on 1989-1998 Cummins® 12-Valve engines using the stock water neck (thermostat housing) or the "new style" thermostat housing. They are designed to use the stock Cummins belt.
Some trimming may be necessary, since Ford and aftermarket alternators vary in design.
Ford 6.0L & 6.4L diesel trucks should use this bracket for the "check battery" light to function and provide proper current.
