The bell crank lever is a component of the P7100 Pump on the 1994-1998 Cummins® 12-Valve engines that is responsible for converting the linear motion of the pushrod into rotational motion of the valve. It is a lever that is attached to the pushrod and the valve stem, and when the pushrod moves up and down, the lever rotates the valve stem to open and close the valve.
